Tiff: Omg, guys! Like, marquees are so totally awesome. Dontcha' think? like2:ZOMG it scrolls D: Vel: Oh hey, wouldn't it be better to creep people out with a shoutbox, for slow readers that are easily distracted? Tiff: I could try adding an oekaki shoutbox, yes. like2:But would it be as fun? Tiff: Indeed, shout marquee ftw. xD Imagine when this gets super long. Vel: Do not want to imagine, it's already giving me eye hurt, but it's, so, epic @-@ But, but, but, is there any way to make it go more slowly? ;-; Tiff: I made it slower. :) Vel: Oh mai gee, no more eye hurt, that's epic @u@ lol I wonder if anybody who was new would actually bother to read the entire thing, they'd probably just end up being all like "lol, what is wrong with those people" like2:yeah but its so slow, how do you read the whole thing? Vel: Which leads me to wonder if this would make any sense if oldest went on bottom and newest went on top. Oh the confusion, you read the whole thing if you're super bored and have nothing better to do Tiff: Oh yeah, I actually did consider making the new posts first at some point, but that would be so confusing. xDD like2:You know, it takes forever to watch this whole thing. It is easier to just read it under the edit banner section amirite? Tiff: Yup, you know exactly what I do to read new posts. Vel: Ditto, I hate it admit it but even I have something better to do then sit around watching this thing scroll. I wonder what kind of person would actually take until the end of this to think "I just entered a world of insanity". Tiff: Oh, tis true, tis true! Sanity was once my best friend till I realized how much of a stickler he was! Vel: Sanity scared me, so I ran from it, and then realized that it's actually somewhat healthy. Anyways, is this place at all alive? Tiff: Oh yes, I am alive indeed. Insanity used to scare me then I realized it was something unhealthy. *shot* Vel: Are we still alive? Would living here consume our sleep? Does anybody aside from me get more then 10 hours of sleep? -brick'd- Tiff: Yuppers, alive! Vel: This place turned sexier while I was gone, and hey, LOOK, A CHATBOX, WOOOOOT Tiff: Lol, I just set aside a few mins to reread this marquee, and it's epic every now and then. XD But, the new shoutbox is nice for talking. Vel: I swear to god one day I'll watch this entire thing through 10 times over and then yell at myself for being so stupid. Tiff: Oh gosh, I'm looking for the secret link. ;-; Vel: I don't even know if you're looking in the right place xD Tiff: I wasn't. XD I did find it eventually though. Vel: I figured as much, nobody has ever taken that long to find one @u@ Tiff: Lol yeah. XD I pretty much totally failed the moment I suggested that I make a script to find it for me. XD Vel: Aaaaah, Vel doesn't remember the starting 2XXX though. @~@ Something about too much long. Long is good though. Is strangely fluffy. <3 Tiff: Yeeeaahhhh. That whole time feels like a long time ago and yet it was still 2XXX. Long yet not long yet long. XD Vel: The sadness of being a millennial. Don't remember start of millennium, never get to see another one. ;u; Tiff: Indeed, millenniums are so very, very long. @@ Tiff: lol, randomly changing this old marquee in 2020.

hehe, shipainter blew up on Vel.
Was having a little too much fun.
The quality of the pen tool sort of died because Vel, being the genius she is, decided to take screenshots at 1.2x magnification and didn't realise it. >.<
Also extra work to piece it together. o~o

Something something to type here some day. So many pictures to finish some day~ <3

Hm...
Something like thoughts and ideas and whatever goes away with enough time passing. Vel will put that here, probably. Because she said she would and she wants to, and even though she has passed countless stories and whims and such she hasn't forgotten many of them.

Because she took a philosophy course last semester, and she had fun with time and questions of what if, and even though she hates writing papers on subjects she's uncertain of, she loves playing with ideas and telling tales with what ifs.

This time a story as always with the ocean beside. Shore and sky and letters and meaning because they're important no matter.
Infinity and eternity because they're hard to grasp.
Time travel because it's interesting.
An unchanging sequence because it's interesting.
Loops because it's unchanging.
Avoiding some questions and possibilities because they're difficult.

A story starting with the Styx, but an ocean in place of a river because Vel sees no purpose for another side.
Just a shore, and an ocean into which everything disappears.
Consuming because in Vel's ideal world, the ocean is bottomless and endless with only one shore to leave.
A strange place, but a pretty place. There is something charming about being surrounded by water.
An ocean, shore and sky, all together personified as a rather small being. A small icon, or symbol, for something large that simply exists and exists and exists. Into the before and into the after.

How to put it, properly. Vel's not quite sure.

A rather simple and rather cute story about an abstract shore. A scene that stretches endlessly into the distance. A final view to glimpse, so to speak. A place in which flames are extinguished, and a place in which flames sometimes burn longer with unforgettable thoughts. The classic idea of lingering on for regret.
An ocean that approaches, as a small, rather underwhelming creature, those with a message left to leave. Says they may write. Says it will deliver. Be it to the past, the present, or the future. To whomever, wherever, whenever.
An ocean that consumes these words when the flames vanish, because they will not return. Because they cannot return. Because delivering holds no meaning. And then on a whim, creates a being, a messenger, able to deliver. With the ability to deliver. Whose sole purpose is just that.
A messenger who must reconstruct their messages. Rebuild their meanings. Find the time, the place, and maybe the recipient, and then return to the shore.
A messenger who introduces itself at one moment, and is given a name at another. A messenger who can deliver a message to a "past" from a "future". A messenger who can receive a message in a "future" because it delivered it to a "past". Countless subjective timelines interweaving into an unchanging, objective timeline. That sort of thing.

Vel wants to explore many concepts. Ideas about purpose and who between the two is stranger. The desire to create a bittersweet story is by now carved into Vel's mind and does not seem to leave, so Vel goes with it rather naturally.

Still, this image of being left. This image of a being without end, though it begins. An idea that a being can exist without purpose, but a whim that it should not. A whimsical ocean. An incomplete message with a time and a place, and yet nothing to say or deliver. A wish to stay, eternally by a serene but abandoned world. A messenger who cannot see itself, or deliver its own messages. A messenger who can be both comforted and disturbed by an unchanging nature. A messenger who is born to be moved, and an ocean that cannot.

Things like that. And an image of a quickly vanishing flame given a chance to deliver a lifetime of words.

Ideas like that. Pretty and yet difficult to assign images to. Perhaps Vel lacks this sense of creativity? Or her ideas are simply too simple and ordinary. Something about writing on the beaches is so simply charming. Leaving messages in bottles and lights on water. Something about whimsy.

A story, or a game, maybe. Maybe?
Maybe.

Medium undecided.
